Hi, I’m Cecilia
I’m a Senior Copywriter at ATRACTE, a local business directory focused on helping small businesses build visibility, credibility, and connection within their communities.
My work lives at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and search. I help local brands sound as good online as they are in real life.
My Background
I’ve spent the last 12 years in digital marketing and editorial content. I started as a junior content writer for a regional media company before moving into SEO-focused copywriting. Over time, I discovered that my favorite projects were always the ones centered on small, independently owned businesses.
For the past seven years, I’ve led content development at ATRACTE, overseeing listing quality, editorial campaigns, and long-form local guides.
What I Do Every Day
- Write high-converting, SEO-optimized business descriptions
- Develop city and neighborhood spotlight articles
- Audit and refresh outdated listings for tone and accuracy
- Build voice and messaging frameworks for new advertisers
- Partner with product teams to improve on-page content UX
My goal is simple: make every listing feel intentional, polished, and trustworthy.
How I Approach Copy
I believe great copy should feel effortless to the reader — even if it took serious strategy behind the scenes. I combine keyword research, audience psychology, and clean structure to create content that performs without sounding robotic.
My guiding principles:
- Clarity builds confidence
- Specificity makes brands memorable
- Consistency strengthens trust
- Local stories deserve thoughtful execution
What I’m Working Toward
I’m currently expanding our editorial strategy to include more in-depth community features and interviews with founders. I’m especially passionate about elevating minority-owned and family-run businesses that often rely heavily on word-of-mouth.
Long term, I’m building toward an Executive Content Strategist role — one where I can shape not just copy, but the full narrative experience of how local businesses show up online.
Outside the Office
- Early morning journaling and café writing sessions
- Exploring indie bookstores
- Trying new plant-based recipes
- Weekend neighborhood walks with a camera in hand
This blog is where I share lessons on local SEO, brand voice, and the small details that turn simple listings into powerful digital first impressions.
